BODYWORK
Thai Yoga Massage
Thai Massage is performed on a mat on the floor. While you remain relaxed I guide you into a series of yoga-like postures where you are gently stretched and massaged simultaneously. During the session, I work along the body’s energy (sen) lines and acupuncture (marma) points to get the best results in improved flexibility, range of motion, and pain relief.

Ayurvedic Thai Yoga Massage
Ayu’ = ‘life’ + ‘Veda’ = ‘knowledge’ or ‘Science’ = Science of Life
Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems and originated over 5000 years ago. At the beginning of your Ayurvedic Thai Yoga Massage session, I will give you a consultation including questions to determine your primary doshic type(s). This information gives me further insight into how I can customize the session for you and how to best bring your body, mind, and spirit into balance. During the session, I will incorporate marma points (acupressure points) and work along sen lines (energy lines). By the end of the session, I will share nutritional and lifestyle recommendations to best suit you.
Each and every person has a unique combination of the elements in their body that make up the dosha types: Vata (air and space/ether), Kapha (earth and water), Pitta (fire in water).

Myofascial Release
Every part of the body is supported by a fibrous network of connective tissue. Over time, sitting, injury, bad posture, and trauma, lead to the fascia becoming tight and inflexible contributing to restricted mobility and pain. I apply appropriate pressure to help release the restricted connective tissue leading to long term results, pain relief and restored motion. I incorporate myofacial release into the Thai Yoga Massage session as needed.

"The aim of Ayurveda is to reveal the true nature of ones self, not only in terms of our particular body type, but as interconnected with the overall divine consciousness of the universe."

"Emily has been a total blessing for my life! She is very sensitive to my body's individual needs. Her presence is very light and open. I love how she is willing to experiment and listen to what is best for my body each and every session. I always feel opened, relaxed and without back pain for a long time after her session. I would highly recommend Emily as a personal Bodyworker to anyone."
